Why it works

GLP-1 works with your body's own appetite signals

GLP-1 medications mimic a hormone your gut already makes after you eat. They slow how quickly your stomach empties and turn down appetite signals in the brain — so you feel full sooner and stay full longer. Paired with a provider-guided plan, that makes a sustained calorie deficit far easier to hold.

Questions

Weight Loss FAQ

What's the difference between compounded and brand-name GLP-1?
Brand-name pens are FDA-approved finished products made by a manufacturer. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient pursuant to a prescription, and are not FDA-approved. Your provider will recommend what's appropriate for you, and may suggest a brand option where clinically indicated.
How much weight could I lose?
It varies from person to person and depends on your dose, your plan, and your body. We don't promise a number — anyone who does isn't being honest with you. Your provider will set realistic expectations during your visit.
Who should not take GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 medications aren't appropriate for everyone. People with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2, a history of pancreatitis, or who are pregnant or breastfeeding generally should not take them. The health visit screens for these — and a provider can decline treatment.
Is this an injection or a pill?
Both options exist depending on the medication and what your provider prescribes. The visit will walk through the choices and your provider will recommend a form and dose.
